What should happen to the time AI gives us back?
Artificial intelligence can make organizations dramatically more productive. But productivity is only the beginning of the conversation.
The more important question may be what we choose to do with the capacity we create.

AI implementation is an organizational decision.
The technology matters. But so do the effects on employees, customers, relationships, knowledge, and communities.
Those choices belong in the same conversation.

Better work. Not merely fewer tasks.
Removing friction is worth doing. It is not the same as progress.
Progress should leave the organization more capable and the people in it better off.

how to talk about The Path
How to describe The Path
Helpful language
- The Path is helping organizations think more deliberately about AI.
- The Path is bringing business leaders into the conversation about what AI progress should mean.
- The Path explores the effects of AI beyond productivity and efficiency.
- The Path believes technology should strengthen organizations and the people and relationships around them.
What The Path is not
- An AI certification
- A technology vendor
- An anti-AI initiative
- A lobbying organization
- A campaign against job losses
- A generic consulting methodology
Each of those subjects can overlap with the work. Certification, procurement, employment, and policy all come up in the conversation. None of them describes the initiative on its own, and using one as shorthand tends to narrow it to something it is not.
The handbook cannot be written by one organization.
Every organization sees a different part of what AI is changing.
Share the work. Start the conversation. Tell us what you are seeing.
